Today was NASA's final shuttle launch ever. It's kind of the end of an era. Beautiful and a bit poignant to watch.

This is a pic both to commemorate the event, and also is a gift for

, who dreamed as a child (and still dreams) in awe of visiting space. I can't give him that, but I can give him art of it.

This is just amazing, and a truly beautiful tribute to the space shuttle program. I did an internship at Johnson Space Center last summer, and I can tell you that no matter how lost NASA is now, with the end of shuttle and no Constellation to look forward to...well. NASA will survive. It's too important, too integral to the nation not to. It's our future, and it's something we can't afford to lose.

Anyway, really beautiful.

This is an awesome picture and a great reminder of what was forcefully ended. This is a great tribute, I always wanted to go to into space and do the NASA Space Camp. One day when I have enough money I guess will be the only way to see space ;-; unless a future president decides to recommission the space program
