(copy pasted from my post there) Zane, despite being the main character of the story, has been the hardest one for me to nail down visually. The earliest and longest-lived incarnation of him was in an ill-advised style and with ridiculously pointy hair every which-way. I had a similar thing with an unfortunate earlier incarnation of his brother Style, but Style's new style (no pun intended) just sort of fell into place naturally. Zane I'm wrestling with more
I know it's partially the hair..I want to get rid of the ridiculous huge pointy hair thing I had going on before, but I'm having trouble doing that and it still looking like Zane. So today I was having a discussion about it and got some very good input. Zane was a runaway at age thirteen-ish, he has lived a harrowed and probably malnourished teenage life and a few adult years on the streets and in the dives of a sleazy city amongst its criminal underworld. In short, he has been looking too "fresh"... It makes sense to grunge him up a little. This would probably keep his hair unkempt, a little dirty, and in a state of bedhead all the time (problem hopefully solved!) I'm really loving this idea anyway, so tonight I took a few stabs at it.
